Everton should reignite Ciro Immobile interest in January if title push remains on – TBR View
Everton’s start to the season has been a superb one so far, with the Toffees sitting top of the Premier League table with four wins and a respectable draw against Liverpool.
Carlo Ancelotti is overseeing something of a turnaround at the club. A host of summer signings appear to be paying off, with the likes of Rodriguez, Doucoure, and Allan all impressing in the early months.

It goes without saying that this is new territory in terms of the PL era for the Toffees, although they did qualify for the Champions League during a memorable spell under David Moyes.
And while the summer window might have only just slammed shut, January is only two months away. There is a lot of football to be played between now and then but if Everton remain in the mix, then expect them to go big again in terms of new signings.
One man who they could target to get them over the line is Lazio forward, Ciro Immobile, who was with Goodison Park in the summer.
Goals, goals, goals
Immobile 39 goals in all competitions last season for Lazio. A remarkable goalscoring total that yielded an impressive 36 strikes in the usually defensive minded Serie A.
Goals, ultimately, help teams win trophies. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has enjoyed a stunning start to the season for the Toffees. But is it right for the club to expect the England man to continue that all season and shoulder the burden?

Yes, Richarlison and others chip in with the goods, but bringing a player of genuine world-class striking quality in like Immobile might be just the tonic to get Everton over the line.
With Man City not quite up to speed and Liverpool missing big players through injury, the title race is wide open. Everton, then, will be sniffing success and if they are there in January, there’s no reason they can’t push on and take the glory.

But when you are on top, it’s vital you don’t stand still. Everton’s board have not been shy in backing Ancelotti and the addition of Immobile, even if it is for the £50m Lazio valued him at, could bring the title to Goodison.
Immobile is already off the mark this season, and took just six minutes to get in on the Champions League scoring act last night.
