Everton round-up: Niasse agreement, Gomes boost, Barkley dig and French call-ups

Gentleman’s agreement

Galatasaray continue to be linked with a January move for Everton striker Oumar Niasse. A is suggesting that the Turkish club and the player, in fact, agreed a deal two months ago. Unfortunately, they ran out of time to push a deal over the line before the deadline shut.

The report goes on to suggest that both parties still want the move to go through and Niasse could join Galatasaray in the winter.

Gomes boost

Everton have received a big injury boost from summer signing Andre Gomes. The Portuguese international arrived at the end of his recovery from a hamstring injury, but he suffered a minor setback in recovery shortly after arriving at Goodison Park.

However,, he is now on course to make a full recovery from the injury after the international break.

Barkley dig

Barkley left Everton in January, joining Chelsea. He has finally found his feet at Stamford Bridge and has just been recalled to the England squad.

Everton newbies Kurt Zouma and Lucas Digne have received surprise call-ups to the French national team. Both players joined the club this summer and will join up with the World Cup winners after the weekend.
