Everton round-up: Gomes on debut, Besic enjoying ‘freedom’ and Klaassen ‘relieved’

Andre Gomes has been speaking about his debut for the club. The Barcelona loanee put in an excellent display against Crystal Palace before tiring late on.

he stated it was a ‘good feeling’ making his debut and that he was ‘really happy’ with the result and his move to Everton.

He said the game felt more intense than football in Spain, where he previously played for his parent club and Valencia.

Besic enjoying Pulis ‘freedom’

Mo Besic is enjoying his loan spell at Middlesbrough. The Bosnian is in fine form for the Championship side and of his happiness working under Tony Pulis.

He says he is enjoying the ‘freedom’ given to him by the Boro boss, which is not the word usually associated with the Welshman.

This is Besic’s second loan spell at Riverside.

Klassen ‘relieved’

Davy Klaassen says Werder Bremen’s style of play suits him better than Everton’s. The Dutchman struggled for form during his time at Everton,

He was sold to the Bundesliga side in the summer at a massive loss.

However, his displays for Bremen have been far more impressive and that he is ‘relieved’ to be at Bremen.
