Digne’s ‘fire’

Lucas Digne has revealed it was speaking to Marco Silva that convinced him to turn his back on Barcelona and join Everton in the summer.

The French international that speaking to Silva about an Everton move ‘lit a fire inside’ of him and he decided he wanted to play for both club and manager.

Digne joined and has won the left-back spot from veteran option Leighton Baines.

Arnautovic wanted

Everton want West Ham United striker Marko Arnautovic. The Austrian’s brother and agent has in Italy that both Everton and Chelsea have shown an interest in his client.

The forward has been in fine form for West Ham since joining the club from Stoke City in 2016.

Smalling deal

Everton are keen on the signature of Chris Smalling from Manchester United. , the Toffees are hoping to sign the England international to a free transfer when his current deal expires in the summer.

The report continues that Everton will look to buy Smalling in January, should United engage his 12-month extension at Old Trafford.

Everton have reportedly ‘shown a lot of interest’ in the player and it seems Smalling is high up the transfer target list for Marco Silva and co.
