Everton round-up: Brands key to Lozano, Dowell frustrations and McCarthy comeback

Lozano chances

They suggest that his former director at PSV, Marcel Brands, is the only reason Everton even have a shot of signing the player.

He has not yet made the call, according to PSV general manager Toon Gerbrands, and Lozano would reportedly prefer a move to Spain.

However, the report suggests Brands could possibly tempt him into a Merseyside move.

Dowell frustration

Everton youngster with his lack of game time at Goodison Park. The England youngster spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest, where he was a regular, so spending most of his time on the sidelines this season has taken some adapting.
