Everton are reportedly keen on Scottish defender David Bates. that the 6ft 4ins centre-back is being scouted by Everton this season.
The 22-year-old left Rangers in the summer in order to join German outfit Hamburg. His performances in 2.Bundesliga have reportedly caught the attention of Everton, along with Arsenal and Watford among others.
Bates has a deal with Hamburg until the summer of 2022.

Dowell has interested party
Middlesbrough are said to be interested in the signature of Kieran Dowell in the winter. The talented England under-21 starlet has not taken his chances with the Everton first-team this season and another spell out on loan looks likely.
