Everton round-up: Mina has ‘disappeared’, Augustin is summer target and Liverpool defeated in mini-derby

Defender ‘disappears’

A bizarre report has emerged courtesy of Catalan newspaper, that Everton defender Yerry Mina as ‘disappeared’.

that there could be more than meets the eye when it comes to Mina’s fitness.

The Colombian defender has not played for Marco Silva’s side since the FA Cup defeat to Millwall.

He wasn’t exactly in great form during the embarrassing defeat and he hasn’t lived up to his pre-season billing just yet.

In Spain, clubs release medical reports to make it clear when a player suffers an injury and when they are expected to return. That doesn’t happen in England and the Everton might not be being totally honest about Mina’s situation.

Top summer target emerges

, Everton have made Red Bull Leipzig striker Jean-Kevin Augustin their top summer target.

The Frenchman has bagged eight goals this season and the 21-year-old is highly-rated in European football.

The Toffees looked have looked toothless in attack far too often this season and firepower will be a priority for 2019/20.

Given his potential, it seems likely that Everton will need a substantial outlay to lure the youngster to Goodison Park.

Everton are now four points clear at the top of the Premier League 2 Division 1 table.

Perhaps more crucially the youngsters have 12 more points than their city rivals.
