Williams wanted
Stoke City want to sign Ashley Williams from Everton. The Welsh international is apparently a target for the Potters,

Stoke are hoping to win promotion back to the Premier League this summer and see Williams as the perfect option to strengthen their backline on the cheap. A loan deal is being proposed but the sticking point looks to be the 33-year-old’s £65,000-a-week wages.
Everton are set to sell the Welshman this summer. The veteran had a poor campaign last season and is not popular with the fans.
Rodwell back
The midfielder is out of contract having left Sunderland this summer after an ill-fated stint with the club.
Rodwell is training with the under-23s in order to remain fit after failing to win a contract at Watford.
The 27-year-old was one of Everton’s brightest prospects when he left for Manchester City in a £12 million deal six years ago.
Since then injuries and poor form have plagued the former England international.
