Everton predicted XI: ‘Very good’ ace returns to the heart of the team as Ancelotti drops £6.3m-rated defender

Everton’s loss at home to already-relegated Sheffield United left them with a bit of a mountain to climb in terms of qualifying for European football next season.

The Blues were on the wrong end of a 1-0 scoreline after 17-year-old Daniel Jebbison became the youngster scorer of a winning goal in the Premier League since Federico Macheda back April 2009.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men will be taking on an equally poor Wolverhampton Wanderers side who were easily beaten by Tottenham Hotspur, 2-0, last Sunday.

It’s a result that leaves the Midlands outfit with an equal record to the Merseysiders with both teams having lost two, won one and drawn one across their last four league games.

In terms of team news, Everton were lucky to have James Rodriguez back in their ranks after the Colombian returned from injury to start the clash with the Blades. However, despite the near clean-bill of full health last Sunday, the Italian still opted for Seamus Coleman at right-wing ahead of Gylfi Sigurdsson, who started on the bench.

The ‘‘ Yerry Mina was close to returning for the Sheffield clash, however, didn’t make the bench despite Ancelotti’s claims he was close to a return for the game on Sunday. He could well return to partner, Michael Keane in the centre of defence with Ben Godfrey moving out to right-back in place of Mason Holgate and Lucas Digne at left-back.

Abdoulaye Doucoure seems to be back up to full fitness after his return from what was expected to be a injury and should start his third game in a row alongside Allan.

Meanwhile, Rodriguez should play the number 10 role with Sigurdsson replacing the after his poor performance at right-wing, Richarlison on the left, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin up-front.

Everton predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Godfrey, Mina, Keane, Digne; Doucoure, Allan; Sigurdsson, Rodriguez, Richarlison; Calvert-Lewin.
