Everton outcast Yannick Bolasie could get his career back on track with loan move to Newcastle United
Yannick Bolasie recently decided to cut his loan spell at Aston Villa short and return to Everton.
Last summer, Bolasie completed a season-long loan switch to Championship side Aston Villa in a bid to return to full fitness and get game time.
He had an option in his loan agreement that allowed him to terminate his stay at Aston Villa in January and he exercised that last week.
Bolasie’s time at Aston Villa was unpredictable and inconsistent as he combined moments of magic with some poor performances.
His Aston Villa stint would not have done enough to convince Marco Silva to give him a second chance at Everton.
As a result, the 29-year-old is probably going to have to search for another club this month, with some Premier League sides ready to take a punt.
, Newcastle United are among three Premier League teams in the hunt for Bolasie.
Cardiff City and Crystal Palace are also interested but Bolasie might be tempted by the project at Newcastle.
Although he would be battling against relegation, Bolasie would get game time with current options, such as Jacob Murphy, Matt Ritchie, Kenedy and Christian Atsu, struggling for consistency.
The DR Congo international would be playing under a reputable manager in Rafa Benitez and could get his career back on track with this loan move.
After a solid but unspectacular stint in the Championship, Bolasie needs to work hard to earn his Premier League chance if he completes a loan move to Newcastle.
