Allan has lived up to his description as a no-nonsense defensive midfielder in front of the back four and has quickly established himself as a key player within the team.

The South American is an absolute steal around the £20million mark and he’s out on his own so far this season in the Premier League in one individual stat.

Everton’s midfielder has made more tackles (26) than any other player in the division so far, with Southampton’s Oriol Romeu and Crystal Palce’s Andros Townsend just behind him with 25 ().

It highlights the steel that Allan has added in the centre of the park, which allows some of the team’s more attack-minded players to thrive ahead of him and he’s very much an unsung hero.

The replacement for Idrissa Gueye has finally been found and he’ll be vital in a bid to try finish in the European positions this season.
