Everton looking to spend Amadou Onana money on ‘superstar’ international midfielder
Everton are one of the most active clubs in the market this summer and they’re making plans to sign a new midfielder when Amadou Onana’s exit is confirmed.
The Toffees are set to sell Onana to Aston Villa for around £50m and at the same time, take the pressure off of selling Jarrad Branthwaite at the same time.
For Everton, it is a relief to bring in such a fee for Onana to ease FFP and PSR problems.
The money coming in will boost the whole club and while losing Onana is a blow, it’s a case of needs must right now on Merseyside.
However, that doesn’t mean they won’t be in the market for a replacement either and it looks like the Toffees are now readying a bid for a player with Premier League experience.
Everton considering bid for Weston McKennie
According to a report from , Everton are now considering a bid for former Leeds midfielder, Weston McKennie.
The American international played a key role for Juventus last season as he rediscovered his form after a somewhat nightmare spell at Elland Road previously.

Juventus are believed to be looking for between £15-20m for McKennie as they consider whether or not to move him on.
The Turin outfit have already signed Douglas Luiz this summer, meaning McKennie’s role in the team could be stifled a touch.
Everton, meanwhile, must consider their next steps carefully when it comes to landing a new midfielder.
While they are set to bring in £50m for Onana, it’s unlikely they’ll spend all that, given they have already forked out money to sign Iliman Ndiaye from Marseille.
Lauded as a ‘‘ midfielder when Tottenham were previously keen on him, McKennie could well be open to another crack at the Premier League.
Everton, then, might well end up with a player with a big point to prove.
