Costa is a big name and mere talk of him moving to Goodison Park could potentially be the catalyst for the Turkey international to turn things around.
It has not been a good stint for the 28-year-old, who was signed for £27 million on Sam Allardyce’s watch in January 2018 ().
Prolific in his homeland, Tosun has been unable to shake the burden of his price tag, scoring just nine goals in 43 appearances for the club.
Last term he lost his place in the side to Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and there has been some speculation about his future.
If he is to stay at the club, then perhaps he can use all the talk about Costa as fuel to have a great season in 2018/19.
