Everton legends react to Duncan Ferguson’s incredible managerial debut
Everton have started life in the post-Marco Silva era in flying style with a brilliant 3-1 win over Frank Lampard’s Chelsea at Goodison Park.
Interim boss Duncan Ferguson whipped the home crowd into a frenzy and the players responded with a rampacious display of football to blow away the away side,
It was a performance that has immediately seen many fans calling for ‘Big Dunc’ to be considered for the role permanently.

Even a few Everton legends have been addressing the impact Ferguson appeared to have on the squad.
Tim Cahill has been linked with a return to Everton himself recently. the appointment of David Moyes would have seen the Australian brought in as his right-hand man.
But yesterday Cahill was only interested in celebrating the display of this Everton side under the guidance of his former team-mate.
Big thank you for all the birthday messages ? New addition BLUE ? is settling in well with Hudson and London and the icing on the cake was Dunc and Everton with the 3 points ?

Kevin Sheedy was also impressed. The former Republic of Ireland international spent ten years at Goodison Park, winning the European Cup Winners’ Cup with the Toffees in 1985.
Reminded me of the good old days Fantastic atmosphere, players covered every blade of grass for the club, the fans and for Big Dunc. Absolutely delighted for him He has earned this opportunity and there will be more great days to come for him and our great club. COYB?

He was clearly impressed and believes Ferguson has ‘earned’ an opportunity as Everton boss.
It seems that plenty of Everton fans would agree with that statement.
