Derby County loan could be final chance for Kieran Dowell to impress Everton
The 2018/19 campaign finished with a flourish for both Everton and their attacking midfielder Kieran Dowell.
Marco Silva’s team defeated Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United on their way to an eighth-placed finish; whilst Dowell helped Sheffield United to automatic promotion into the Premier League.
Dowell might have hoped to earn a place in Silva’s thoughts for next season with his form for the Blades.
The Everton academy graduate managed just two goals and one assist, starting just eight of his 17 appearances for Chris Wilder’s team.

Now it looks like another loan move beckons.
that Phillip Cocu wants to add the 21-year-old to his Derby County ranks ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
It would be Dowell’s third Championship loan spell and an emphatic impact would be required at Pride Park.
The youngster is running out of chances to impress Silva.
Everton could show real ambition during the transfer window and only the very best young talent will earn regular opportunities at Goodison Park.
After losing in the play-off final last season, Derby will have ambitions of going one better next season.

Dowell must go to the East Midlands and show consistency in his performances.
At Nottingham Forest, in 2017/18 he was influential for the first half of the campaign, before tailing away badly during the business end of the season.
Time could be running out for Dowell at Everton and if his Derby move does come to fruition it looks like a make or break situation as far as his Goodison Park career goes.
