Everton have made it known they seriously want to sign 28-year-old before January ends
Whilst it’s been a relatively quiet January transfer window for Everton thus far, it seems the club are now in the mix for several deals.
Sean Dyche’s side have coped valiantly with their point deduction this season and will still hope to avoid a relegation race in the coming months.

That being said, January additions could definitely help with Everton’s plight.
Understandably, it seems the club will lean towards loan moves in order to strengthen their side in the coming weeks.
And following a report linking the club with a 11-goal striker earlier today, it now seems serious interest has emerged elsewhere too.
Journalist Jack Gaughan was recently running a Q&A for and was asked about Everton’s interest in Kalvin Phillips.
The Manchester City midfielder is the talk of the Premier League right now with several clubs interested in a loan move.
It seems unfeasible that such a talented player would stay at City beyond January, especially with this summer’s Euros in mind.
That being said, Gaughan has now confirmed that Everton have firm interest in the 28-year-old.
Everton want Kalvin Phillips on loan in January transfer window
Replying to the question: “What about Kalvin Phillips? Is he staying or going and where’s his most likely destination?”
Gaughan said: “Juventus are still the only club to have approached City with an official offer.

“The word all month has been that Newcastle need to sell before any incomings, while Crystal Palace and Everton have made their interest known in recent days.
“City are believed to want around £6m in loan fees for Phillips, who needs minutes before the Euros.
“But something will have to give: either a club stumping up the money or City relaxing their price.”
Big boost
If Everton were able to secure the signature of Kalvin Phillips in the January transfer window it would have to be seen as a huge coup.
Phillips’ ability has almost been forgotten amid his lack of minutes under Pep Guardiola.
However, if he gets playing regularly again before the summer, there’s no doubt that Gareth Southgate would be tempted to start him.
That being said, Everton are also said to be interested in a forward who left the Premier League in the summer.
