Everton fans respond to comments from Rafael Benitez about Toffees
Rafael Benitez has refused to rule out ever being interested in the Everton job – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter believe they should try appoint him now for their managerial position.
Benitez is currently in charge of Chinese club Dalian Yifang after joining in the summer.
The 59-year-old manager has a great connection with Everton’s Merseyside rivals Liverpool, as he managed there for six years and helped them win a famous Champions League trophy.
He spoke about his commitment to Dalian Yifang right now on Monday night football, but did admit he would like to return to the Premier League in the future.
“Obviously I have Liverpool connections. That is very clear,”
“But at the same time, we are involved in the city, we have a lot of friends in the city, Evertonians, Liverpudlians. I wouldn’t have any problems with the fans, with the people there. Obviously we are closer to Liverpool. But I am a professional, so in the future, you never know.”

A selection of Everton supporters on social media believe that Benitez has dropped a major hint about moving to Goodison Park in the future and some want him now.
One of the fans suggested Everton chief Farhad Moshiri rings up the Spanish boss, but he did insist he will stay loyal to his current club.
The Toffees won under caretaker boss Duncan Ferguson at the weekend over Chelsea and he’s currently preparing his team to face Manchester United, as the club continue to look for a successor to Marco Silva.
Here are some Everton fans responding to Benitez’s comments:
