Everton picked up a hard-fought 1-0 win over Watford at Goodison Park yesterday in a game they would have felt they should have won by more.
Bernard’s first-half strike proved enough for the Everton win in a tight contest against Marco Silva’s former club.
Indeed, Watford did prove a tough challenge at times and Everton had to defend well throughout the game.
Jordan Pickford was great in goal again, Lucas Digne offered stability going forward and backward whilst Michael Keane continues to look consistent.

However, the performance of Yerry Mina is what truly caught the eye of Everton fans.
Signed from Barcelona last summer, the Colombian had a tough first season at Goodison Park. Injuries plagued him throughout the campaign and Kurt Zouma established himself as the ideal partner for Keane.
Some fans have expressed concern over Mina as a consequence but he showed today just why Everton snapped him up last summer.
He put in another dominant display, much like his opening weekend performance against Crystal Palace.
If the Colombian continues to perform at such a high level going forward, Everton fans will forget about Zouma in no time…
I thought Yerry Mina was great today. Ok, he was lucky not to give away a penalty, but that aside, I thought he was pretty solid. Loved how he was in people’s faces too! We’ve been crying out for a snidey centre half for years!

Looked like a leader at the back today did Mina.
Reckon it’s easy to not really feel part of all this when you’re new in, injured and not playing much. But he seems settled as an Everton player now.
Has had a wonderful start to the season

Can’t believe how much long ball Watford played today, don’t think they’ll ever use that tactic against us again, especially after they fell fowl of Yerry Mina’s aerial prowess

Yerry Mina, never really put a foot wrong last season just came injured & couldn’t get a run of games together because of Kurt’s form. But, he’s a player & always has been. Great start, looks complete in possession & wasn’t rattled by anything. MOM & another clean sheet for

Good 3 points today. Another clean sheet and if Mina keeps playing like that Zouma will be forgotten about quickly. Bernard great. Promising signs from JP and Kean too. Up the toffees!

What i thought off today’s game:
• Richarlison is poo.
• Sigurdsson is invisible.
• Moise Kean will be Boss.
• I miss Geri.
• Yerry Mina is a Monster.
• The Siren is class.
