Everton fans react to Robin Olsen’s comments on his future
A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to react to concerning his future beyond the end of his loan spell.
Olsen has made a number of appearances for the Toffees since arriving on loan from Roma. Four of those games have come in the Premier League.

There have been some mixed performances. He made an error in the 3-3 draw with Manchester United at the weekend having made some outstanding saves in the win at Leeds before that.
So it may not be a big surprise if Everton look to keep him in the summer. And Olsen has now suggested that he would love to stay at Goodison Park if the opportunity presented itself.

“We want to stay, but it is not me who decides,” .
“I can only cross my fingers and see what the club says.”
The comments have been met with a reasonably positive reaction on social media. It would certainly appear that several fans would like Olsen to stay.
They believe that, as an understudy, he is a very good option to have in the squad.
Admittedly, some clearly think that Everton need a new goalkeeper at the end of the season.
However, they feel that it is the number one who needs replacing. And while the fans are not holding out much hope of finding a buyer for Jordan Pickford, some would ideally want a new first-choice to come in with Olsen providing cover.
With that in mind, here is how some of the supporters have reacted to Olsen’s comments…
Able deputy but nothing more. Worth buying on the cheap if possible.

I think he is a stable deputy goalkeeper. He is not a permanent starter by all means but a safe pair of hands to have on the bench for cup games or even European matches. However that doesn’t mean I think Pickford should be starting

If we get him on the cheap then deffo a good investment! Good to have confidence in your second choice keeper!

Defo enough to be second choice,I’m not sure we have our number 1
— Callum Lapsley🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪 (@callumlaps)
Yes I’d have him. He looks good in goal. He’s confident. He’s a good rotation keeper and does enough to challenge Pickford!

Undoubtedly our safest pair of hands, in my opinion.

Good back up. We need a new 1st choice keeper but I’d be fine with him as no2
— Jay Evans (@Jay_No_Z)
I’d like him to be the backup as he’s a known quantity, seems to fit well within the dressing room & has a good head on his shoulders. Price dependent of course and then bring in a new #1

If it makes sense financially, it’s a no brainer for us. Our last decent back up keeper was Joel, & if it wasn’t for Martinez’s blind faith in a finished Howard, he could have become first choice. Olsen deserves a run in this team to see exactly how could he can be.
