Everton fans react to Cenk Tosun’s loan to Crystal Palace until the end of the season
Everton striker Cenk Tosun has joined Crystal Palace on loan until the end of the 2019/20,
Tosun was brought to the club in January 2018 but has fallen down the pecking order after struggling to find the net on a consistent basis in the top flight.
Palace need to improve their goal record and have taken a punt on a striker who came to England with a big reputation and will hope he is reinvigorated by the change of club.
Carlo Ancelotti : “I spoke with Cenk and he wanted to find a club with opportunities to play. I hope Crystal Palace is a good solution for him.”

Some Everton fans who had watched Tosun toil in recent times reacted on Twitter to the news with many fearing that he would hit form at Selhurst Park.
Whether that’s due to the pessimism which is symptomatic of football fans or based on Tosun’s performances in a blue shirt is a matter of debate but other fans expressed that he’d always put in 100 per cent and wished him well.
Sometimes a player needs a fresh start to get his confidence back and at 28, Tosun is experienced enough to go somewhere and make an instant impact. Whether he has the quality remains to be seen…
