Everton fans react on Twitter to Allan’s display in Leeds defeat
A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Allan’s performance as the Toffees suffered a 1-0 defeat to Leeds United on Saturday.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men played their part in a fantastic game at Goodison Park. Unfortunately, they were unable to build on their victory last weekend and fell to a late defeat.

It appears that a number of players were criticised following their performances against Marcelo Bielsa’s side. However, plenty of supporters have heaped praise on Allan.
, James Rodriguez was the only Everton player to make a greater number of key passes than the 29-year-old.

Meanwhile, he went on five successful dribbles. Remarkably, no other player on the pitch managed more than two.
One of those runs resulted in the summer signing getting a shot away. It was a brilliant burst from the Brazilian. And he had Illan Meslier scrambling across his line to ensure that his deflected effort was not going to sneak its way into the bottom corner.
Understandably, many Everton fans were left incredibly frustrated by the performance. Leeds had not won any of their last three games in the Premier League.
But Allan looks to be one of the few to have received pass marks. In fact, many felt that the former Napoli man was looking much more like the player who really stood out in the opening weeks of the season.
Here is how some of the fans reacted to Allan’s performance…
Despite the result though Allan was good today 👌🏻

Allan was my mom for us making some fine runs. As far as the others are concerned only Pickford stood out with some fine saves. Doucoure was very poor along with Godfrey apart from the kick off the line. I wouldn’t have taken Davis off I thought he was playing well.

Thought Allan was superb today btw

Allan was fantastic, but can’t do it on his own. I thought Doucoure was really poor today. Missing a quality defensive midfielder

Allan best player for us today and that’s saying something
— Mark (@MarkCoopEFC)
Not many positives today.
Played with little intensity or purpose.
Allan MOTM. His best game in a while.
Doucoure had his worst game for us.
Defence was all over the show.
DCL persevered but was feeding on scraps
Would like to see James play as a 10

Allan was immense and Pickford important saves. Pretty even game and could have went either way. We just give the ball away in stupid positions and invite pressure, we don’t play with any fluency and miss Digne and Coleman. Never put them under pressure same Newcastle/Soton

Allan was the only player that turned up he was class
— Paul🇮🇨 (@efc_paul)
Allan was really good tonight, the rest of them weren’t including the manager. Got what we deserved. Mid table team with the bottle job underbelly still lurking
