Everton fans react as Henry Onyekuru reportedly enters Monaco talks

Everton are reportedly in talks with French outfit Monaco about selling them attacker Henry Onyekuru – and some of the club’s supporters are resigned to losing him this summer.

The reports that Marco Silva’s side want to offload the 22-year-old two years on from buying him.

The report explains that Monaco are in talks with the Toffees about the Nigerian winger and Everton could make a marginal profit on the £7million they paid for him.

Onyekuru has not played a single game for Everton since he joined the Merseyside club, as he’s been unable to gain a work permit for Premier League football.

The dazzling wide man has impressed out on two separate loan spells with Anderlecht and Galatasaray, which makes it even more frustrating that he can’t be used at Goodison Park.

He scored 16 goals in 44 games across all competitions last season for Turkish club Galatasaray and is a skilful attacker still improving.

A selection of Everton supporters on social media have come to the realisation that they won’t see Onyekuru line up for them and are pleased that an exit looks possible for him this summer.

Bernard and Richarlison look to be the frontrunners for the wide positions in Marco Silva’s team, but Onyekuru would have provided great competition.
