Everton fans react as Andre Gomes prepares for training return
Everton fans have reacted to the surprise news that Andre Gomes is to return to training, only a few months on from his horror ankle injury.
Gomes was badly injured during a Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur in November, and there were fears he may have been out for the remainder of the season.

The Portugal international had suffered an ankle fracture and dislocation, and underwent surgery.
The state of Gomes’ ankle in the immediate aftermath of Heung-min Son’s challenge won’t be forgotten in a hurry by some, and it is therefore a huge surprise that Carlo Ancelotti has today informed supporters he is already set to start individual sessions.
He said in a press conference (): “Andre Gomes can come back next week, and start to train individually here.
“It is good news. He is doing well in his recovery. It is going fast so I hope as soon as possible he can be with us, because he’s a fantastic player.”

Gomes’ actual return to first-team action will still be some way off, but it is undoubtedly a major boost for the club.
It is fair to say Everton have missed Gomes, with the Toffees down to the bare bones in midfield at the moment.
