Everton fans react as Andre Gomes offers positive injury update
Everton midfielder Andre Gomes appears to be on the mend after sustaining a devastating injury against Tottenham in November.
The 26-year-old suffered a horror leg-break during a 1-1 draw with Spurs and it was anticipated that it could curtail his season.
Gomes has started back in the gym, however, and was seen working with a member of the Everton medical team yesterday.
It still seems as though the road back to the first-team is a long one but naturally his Twitter post has delighted supporters.
As you can see, I couldn’t be happier! Thank you for all your support! I’m working hard and feeling better everyday! Let’s go ! 🔥

The Portuguese star signed for the Toffees for £22 million from Barcelona during the summer
He was a big part of the team under Marco Silva during 2018/19 and made his loan spell permanent ahead of the current campaign.
Gomes will have a new manager to impress when he is fully fit.

Carlo Ancelotti has replaced Silva and he will hope the Italian sees him as part of his future plans.
The midfielder has been a big player over the last 12 months. Prior to his injury, he was just coming into some form.
Everton fans will hope his recovery is a quick one with no complications.
Following an update from their midfield maestro, supporters took to Twitter.
Here is a selection of tweets from the Everton faithful in response to Gomes’ injury update:
