Everton fans rage with ‘pathetic’ defender Lucas Digne after Millwall loss
Lucas Digne completed 90 minutes in the defeat to Championship opposition Millwall – and some Everton fans on Twitter crushed him for the quality of his performance.
Marco Silva’s side were eliminated from the FA Cup fourth round after losing away from home in dramatic fashion at The Den.
The Merseyside club twice had the lead in the contest to have one foot in the next round, but blew it both times and eventually conceded in the dying stages of the game to break the hearts of the travelling supporters.

A selection of Everton fans on social media were particularly displeased with Digne after his antics on Saturday evening.
The 25-year-old has been a popular figure since he came in from Barcelona in the summer and has even dislodged the legendary Leighton Baines from his starting position.
But he was completely outmuscled for Millwall’s first goal by their centre-forward, while he also gave away the two free-kicks that lead to another equaliser and a late winner.
The French left-back is usually a great attacking outlet and fairly dependable at the back, but his defensive discipline massively let his side down in the cup.
Here are some of the Everton fans annihilating Digne following his latest display:
Defensively woeful again. Digne beaten too easily.

Digne shouldn’t be giving stupid fouls away in the first place?

Digne gave them 2 unnecessary free kicks for their last 2 goals and was bullied for their first.

Digne has been great this season but he dived in and gave away free kicks for those 2 goals…let’s us blame Keane though.
