Yerry Mina put in a commanding defensive performance in the win against West Ham – and some Everton fans picked out their colossus for his efforts.
The 25-year-old centre-back helped the Toffees produced an eye-catching home display to beat West Ham 2-0 at Goodison Park.
Bernard’s superb individual goal in the first-half put the hosts in front, while substitute Gylfi Sigurdsson wrapped up the Premier League win late on.
Marco Silva’s side could have scored plenty more if they had been more clinical, as Alex Iwobi spurned a one-on-one chance, Theo Walcott smashed the crossbar, and Tom Davies saw a close-range effort saved.
The Merseyside giants have struggled offensively so far this season and sat in the relegation places going into the international break, but the weekend’s victory has lifted them to 10 points from nine games.

A selection of Everton supporters on social media felt that Mina deserved special credit for his efforts at the back.
The Colombian defender dealt extremely well with powerhouse striker Sebastien Haller and won the individual dual between the pair.
He saw one powerful header fired into the goal from a corner, but it was controversially ruled out by the referee.
After a difficult start to life on Merseyside last year, he’s become a mainstay in the team that has started every league game this season and it looks like he’s finally arrived in the Premier League.
Here are some Everton fans on Mina:

Yerry Mina ???? Excellent today. In a game where a man of the match was hard to choose, he’d be mine. But much better performance from all today. Just should’ve had more than 2!

Yerry Mina top notch as well. Hopefully more just little cramp at end after stretching than a strain.
