Everton fans hail Lucas Digne after performance against Monaco
Lucas Digne was involved in Everton’s pre-season win against Monaco on Friday evening – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter hailed their defender for his performance.
The 25-year-old was a revelation during his first season with the club last year and became a key part of Marco Silva’s side.
He was directly involved in nine goals in 37 appearances for the Toffees and their outstanding player in defence.
The France international is an attack-minded left-back that looks a total steal at £18million () from Barcelona and adapted to the Premier League comfortably.
Digne started for the Merseyside club in the friendly against Monaco and it was a great runout for both teams.
Everton secured a narrow 1-0 win, as defender Seamus Coleman scored the goal from close-range in the second-half after a deflected shot from Oumar Niasse.
Silva’s team kicks off their Premier League season away to Crystal Palace and he will have some big decision to make over his XI.

A selection of Everton supporters on social media singled out usual suspect for his strong display.
He nearly scored a stunning volley from the edge of the box off a corner routine and he’s shown he’s more than capable of chipping in with attacks.
Here are some Everton fans on Digne:
