Everton fans delighted with ‘vital’ team news from Carlo Ancelotti

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti delivered an injury update on Frenchman Abdoulaye Doucoure on Friday – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter are over the moon about the announcement.

Italian boss Ancelotti confirmed () in his weekly press conference that midfielder Doucoure is available for Sunday’s Premier League trip away to West Ham.

The 28-year-old has been sidelined with a foot injury since early March, but could potentially make his return this weekend to action for an important fixture.

Eighth-placed Everton travel to the London Stadium to face fifth-placed West Ham in the league meeting, with both teams in the hunt to gain European football for next season.

The Merseyside club has just one victory in the eight games across all competitions that Doucoure has been unavailable for, so his return towards the back end of the campaign looks crucial with four matches remaining.

He’s a powerhouse box-to-box central midfielder that is full of running and offers a physical presence.

A selection of Everton supporters on social media believe Doucoure’s injury return is massive for them.

If he’s fully fit to start on Sunday, Ancelotti should seriously consider throwing the key midfielder back into the XI.
