Everton defender Lucas Digne hails quality of senior Tottenham player
Everton’s Lucas Digne has given a glowing verdict on the quality of Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, who he’s played alongside for the France national team.
Everton defender Digne, 27, picked the Spurs number one when asked to select an all-time best XI from players he’s played alongside in his career.
Lloris, who earns , lifted the World Cup in 2018 as France captain.
The 34-year-old has also made 359 appearances to date for Spurs and has been one of the Premier League’s most consistent goalkeepers during the past decade.
Digne has called the Spurs star one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
“For me, he is one of the best keepers in the world. He’s a very good guy. He’s the captain of the national team, and if he can help you, he will do for sure,” Digne told

TBR’s View:
If you were to reflect on Spurs’ history over the last 10-year period, then Lloris is one of the first players that would spring to mind alongside the likes of Harry Kane and Toby Alderweireld.
Aged 34, Lloris is still proving that he’s capable of producing in net and always seems to put in a big performance whenever he receives any critics.
It’s a huge disappointment that he’s yet to win any club silverware with Spurs, but hopefully that changes this season under manager Jose Mourinho.
Lloris has very much had an underrated career and it’ll be interesting to see where he ranks in terms of all-time great goalkeepers to have played in the Premier League when his career ends.
