Everton considering move for ‘explosive’ forward likened to Vinicius Jr

Everton have been busy on the transfer front this summer, making four new signings but also selling three players.

The Toffees have bolstered their ranks by bringing in Jake O’Brien, Iliman Ndiaye, Tim Iroegbunam and Jesper Lindstrom.

However, Everton have also lost Amadou Onana and Lewis Dobbin to Aston Villa, while Ben Godfrey has joined Atalanta.

Questions also remain over the Goodison Park futures of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Beto and Neal Maupay.

According to , negotiations over extending Calvert-Lewin’s Everton contract are proving difficult.

Meanwhile, Beto is being linked with a Godfrey reunion in Bergamo, while Maupay is said to be surplus to requirements.

With all this in mind, plus Youssef Chermiti’s injury, Everton are reportedly looking at targets to bolster their attacking ranks.

Everton eyeing Almeria’s Largie Ramazani

TEAMtalk have reported that Everton are after Armando Broja and Eddie Nketiah, two players who have been heavily linked all summer, but there’s also a third name in there.

The player in question is Largie Ramazani, who plies his trade for Spanish side Almeria and represents Belgium Under-21s at international level.

Links between Everton and Ramazani go back around 18 months, with claiming the Toffees were after the 23-year-old in the January 2023 window.

Now, it looks like they’ve rekindled their interest in a player TEAMtalk claim would be a ‘more affordable option’ than Broja or Nketiah.

What can Largie Ramazani offer Everton?

Largie Ramazani has been playing for Almeria since 2020, when he joined after leaving the Manchester United academy.

He helped the Andalusian outfit back into La Liga and scored his first Spanish top-flight goal in a 2-1 loss to Real Madrid in September 2022.

Ramazani has 21 goals and nine assists in all competitions for Almeria, including three goals and five in La Liga last term.

However, he couldn’t help his side drop back into the Spanish second tier and, with his contract expiring next year, there’s a good chance he could leave this summer.

Jacek Kulig of Football Talent Scout has described Ramazani as an “explosive winger” with “electric pace and acceleration”, even deeming him a “Mini-Vinicius”.

Meanwhile, noted how well he did in his goal-scoring outing against Real Madrid, suggesting he was on par with Vinicius Jr in that game.

‘What is impressive about Ramazani is that he was able to make the leap to La Liga, looking like a fish in water,’ they wrote.

‘And while his first game was against Real Madrid, he was too good that it was really hard to make the difference between him and Vinicius Jr in the pitch, especially during counters.

‘It took Ramazani only 6 minutes to unlock the score in his first Spanish top flight game against the Champions of Europe.’

Everton will likely be busy over the coming weeks, with reports also linking them with the likes of Arthur Melo and Amir Richardson.
