European giants start fresh talks to sign ‘incredible’ £51m Tottenham target
After announcing the signing of Archie Gray earlier this month, Tottenham Hotspur have now followed up their success with a deal for Yang Min-Hyeok.
The 18-year-old joins Gray and Lucas Bergvall as three of the most talented players of their age in the world right now – and they’re all signed to Tottenham.
And whilst that will provide a lot of reason to be positive for Ange Postecoglou, he’ll likely be hoping for further signings who can make an impact right now.
Min-Hyeok won’t arrive until January and Tottenham plan to be patient with Gray, not rushing him in the early months of the new season.
So in that regard, Spurs’ squad hasn’t seen a considerable improvement, even if their long-term prospects are looking very healthy.
Postecoglou was very firm on his ambition at the end of last season, he wants to be the manager of a club fighting for trophies, not aiming to regain a spot in the top four.
And in order to do so, there’s no doubt that the Tottenham manager needs high-profile additions, and a fair few of them.
But perhaps the priority is still in attack, where Tottenham have been linked with Dani Olmo.
Tottenham target Dani Olmo edging closer to signing for Barcelona
After an excellent showing at the Euros for Spain, it seems as if Olmo will leave RB Leipzig this summer.
TBR Football recently shared that Tottenham had been offered Olmo by his representatives among a host of other Premier League sides.

But judging by an update shared by on X, it seems as if Olmo will now return to the club he left as a youngster.
Romano updated that Olmo held ‘new contacts’ with Barca over the weekend who are about to send a new bid to Leipzig for the ‘incredible’ Spaniard.
He shared: “Barcelona had new contacts with Dani Olmo’s camp over the weekend and they’re preparing a new proposal to send to RB Leipzig, still discussed internally.
“Barça, waiting for Nico Williams’ decision… but keeping Olmo option active.”
Spurs could still have late chance to sign Olmo
Of course, it’s important to note that Romano mentioned Nico Williams’ name in his update, a player with a significant role to play.
Perhaps if Barcelona sign Williams they won’t be able to afford Olmo too given they’re currently enduring a difficult time with FFP according to reports in Spain.
Therefore, Tottenham could still be late movers for £51m-rated Olmo, which would be a transformative signing for Postecoglou’s plans.
Perhaps Olmo would take some convincing to join a club outside of the Champions League, but Postecoglou’s project should have sufficient pull.
All that being said, Tottenham are in pole position to sign a different attacking star from the Euros.
