Ethan Ampadu reacts to Gareth Bale retirement reports
Ethan Ampadu has insisted – – that he hopes that there is nothing in the reports that Spurs loanee Gareth Bale may be considering retirement.
Bale’s future looks to be incredibly uncertain. He marked the final appearance of his loan spell at Tottenham with a superb brace at Leicester.

The two goals ensured that Spurs finished seventh in the Premier League. It also left Bale with a superb record of 11 league goals in just 20 appearances.
But it appears that there is a chance that the clash at the King Power Stadium may prove to be Bale’s last as a professional footballer at club level.
that the 31-year-old is now considering retiring from the game altogether.

It would be a huge shock if Bale called it a day. And Ampadu has insisted that he hopes that there is more to come from his international teammate.
“I hope he doesn’t. He’s had a fantastic career and I think anyone around him in the Welsh squad hope he doesn’t,” he said, .
“But I can’t speak on his behalf.
“Nothing’s been said.”
Too soon for Bale to opt for retirement
Bale’s loan spell at Tottenham has not always lived up to expectations. Leicester are actually the only top-half side he scored against in the top flight.
Having said that, he has surely provided more than enough reminders of what he can do to suggest that he has some time to go before his career is done.
Of course, he may no longer have the fitness to start 38 games a season. And his wage demands may prove problematic for most of the sides that would absolutely love to sign him.
But he remains an outstanding talent with an ability to outshine almost any player in the Premier League on his day.
It remains to be seen if Spurs attempt to try and extend Bale’s stay. But if they do come calling again, surely he would prefer another stint in North London than to take the decision to hang his boots up.
