ESPN pundit suggests Liverpool should now consider selling £64m player
Liverpool have got off to a perfect start in the new Premier League season with two wins from two with zero goals conceded.
The Reds have done well at keeping up the pace with Manchester City and Arsenal as Arne Slot looks to rival the Premier League title contenders for the English championship, a feat that would be most impressive for Liverpool this season.
With a few days left to go in the transfer window, though, Liverpool fans have their attention firmly on the market, with the Reds currently chasing Federico Chiesa in a race that could go all the way to deadline day with Barcelona also interested.
Yet Liverpool have now been told that one of their star players should be moved on.

Liverpool told to sell Darwin Nunez after opening two games
Speaking on , pundit Steve Nicol made the suggestion that Liverpool should look to move on Darwin Nunez, with the striker seemingly not well-suited to Slot’s style of play having not started the first two Premier League games of the season.
Signed for £64m in 2022, Nunez’s form has been a source of frustration for some Liverpool fans, with the attacker yet to really prove he’s the man to lead the Reds’ attack, and Nicol now thinks the time is now for the Uruguay international to leave Anfield.
Nicol said: “I think if the way Liverpool played and the way the front-line and the midfielders interacted, the way they were knocking the ball around and the little one-twos, all the movement around it, the one I thought was Nunez doesn’t fit into that.
“And if that’s what Arne Slot is looking for on a consistent basis, then Nunez doesn’t fit into that. And if you have got a player who you can get good money for that doesn’t fit into what you are trying to do, then you have to think about letting him go.”

Nunez should be given this season to save his Anfield career
Nunez’s time in the Premier League can be best described as entertaining chaos, with the forward one of the most enjoyable players to watch in the English top-flight given how unpredictable the striker can be.
Yet with this being Nunez’s third season at Liverpool, this campaign could be the one that makes or breaks the attacker’s career on Merseyside, with good performances needed from the South American.
Indeed, Liverpool spent a lot to bring Nunez to Anfield two years ago, and the Reds will want to see the former Benfica man hit new heights in the coming months if he’s to have a future in the Premier League.
