Eros Grezda’s move to France reportedly hit ‘a hitch’ last week, now set for Albania snub

Rangers winger Eros Grezda saw a move to France fall apart last week. The report claims that the Albanian winger was on the verge of a short term move to French football but ‘a hitch’ has delayed any transfer.

No detail was given about the hitch involved or indeed the team.

However, the Rangers outcast has been linked with a move to France recently. in July, Brest were ready to pay £1.75 million for the player – beating rivals Dijon to his signature.

That has however failed to materialise and Rangers are still trying to find a new home for the Albanian.

It sums up a fairly bad week for Grezda so far. His lack of football with Rangers is now set to cost him a place in the Albanian national team,

The Albanian report suggests national team boss Edoardo Reja will not be considering Grezda for selection for upcoming European Championship qualifiers against France and Iceland.

Grezda has not featured for Rangers’s first-team since facing Motherwell in April and Steven Gerrard clearly has no plans for him at Ibrox.

It will be a major blow for the 13-cap international, especially considering his lack of football over the past few months.

Hopefully, for the player and club’s sake, Rangers can find a new home away from Ibrox for the player in the coming days.
