Erling Haaland will surely crack up at what Arsenal just posted
Myles Lewis-Skelly and Erling Haaland are still making headlines, days on from Arsenal 5-1 Manchester City on Sunday.
The Arsenal No.49 decided to adopt the Norway international’s trademark celebration after scoring to make it 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium, with the Manchester City No.9 the butt of the jokes after telling Mikel Arteta to “stay humble” back in September, following the 2-2 draw at the Etihad Stadium.

For those unaware of the dictionary definition, humble means: “having or showing a modest or low estimate of one’s importance.”
While Sunday was a miserable one for Erling Haaland and Manchester City, the Norwegian probably feels even more strongly about his “stay humble” comment after seeing what Arsenal just posted online.
Arsenal not doing much to prove Erling Haaland wrong
A humble football club – or merely just one possessing some shred of self awareness – would not continue to poke fun at Haaland or Manchester City when they are yet to achieve anything close to what the Citizens have in recent years.
Nevertheless, Arsenal have still seen fit to release a trailer teasing a short movie of Sunday’s 5-1 win, which is pretty embarrassing and exactly what Haaland meant when he told the Gunners to stay humble.

Manchester City – The Extended Cut
When Arsenal manage to win at least one Premier League title under Arteta – let alone four in a row – then of course, they would be in a more justifiable position to gloat like this, and talk themselves up.
However, with the Gunners still sitting six points behind Liverpool despite the 5-1 win, possibly nine if the Reds win their game in hand against Everton, there should be less time spent on actions that lack humility like posting a movie of the win, and more time spent focusing on the task at hand.
How Arsenal mocked Erling Haaland on Sunday
The prolific striker’s father Alfie Haaland was annoyed by how Arsenal treated his son at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal played ‘HUMBLE’ by Kendrick Lamar on the loudspeaker at full-time, while fans created banners aimed at the 24-year-old.
Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble” is played right on the full-time whistle. Wonder who that’s aimed at…

It was admirable in some ways to see Arsenal rally around Arteta on the day, and defend the Spaniard after what Haaland said to him, but to keep going on about the victory as if was a trophy win itself, even into this week, only supports what the Leeds-born striker quipped back in September.
