‘Epic’, ‘brilliant news’: Some West Ham fans react as ‘delighted’ Hammers make announcement
A number of West Ham United have taken to Twitter to celebrate the news that Craig Dawson has agreed a permanent move to the London Stadium.
The 30-year-old linked up with the Hammers on a season-long loan from Watford in October for a reported £1million loan fee, along with an option to buy.
Dawson has been in sensational form for the Hammers this season, helping David Moyes’ side remain in contention for a Champions League spot.

Although the defender didn’t feature in a senior West Ham game until their last Premier League fixture of 2020, he’s been one of the first names on Moyes’ team sheet ever since.
To date, Dawson has made 17 competitive appearances for the East Londoners, putting in plenty of superb displays and also scoring four goals in all competitions.
On Tuesday, West Ham confirmed that Dawson has which will keep him at the London Stadium until the summer of 2023.
And plenty of Hammers fans are happy with the news:

I saw “here to stay” and thought it was the Mancunian Maradona!!!!
But this is great! Just need Ogbonna back fit! That’s the dream partnership

Another really good signing. Good attitude, big character. He’s been outstanding since arriving at the club. One of the reasons we’re top 4, 30 games played.

I didn’t want Craig Dawson originally cos of he’s age, but he’s proved me wrong and I’m pleased we’ve signed him permanently

Dawson had played 182 Premier League matches for West Brom and Watford before joining the Hammers last year.
