Enzo Maresca has told £50m Chelsea player that he won’t be in senior leadership team
TBR Football understands that Conor Gallagher has been told that he will no longer be included in Chelsea’s senior leadership team, if he does stay with the club.
Sources have told TBR that Enzo Maresca has informed Gallagher’s camp that he would not consider the player part of the senior group within the squad.
Chelsea have offered Gallagher a new deal, but it is only a two-year contract and TBR is told that the player’s camp have been somewhat perturbed by that offer.

Atletico Madrid close to signing Conor Gallagher
Atletico Madrid have now agreed terms and are confident that he will agree to move to the Spanish capital.
Gallagher has made it clear he does not want to join a Premier League rival which means Tottenham won’t make a bid for his services and now Atletico and Chelsea believe he will move to the Spanish capital.
Enzo Maresca admitted that he is aware of his interest in Gallagher but stressed that he’s not heard the latest news about his proposed move to La Liga.
“To be honest, I do not know nothing. We will see him when we go back there [to Cobham]. I know when I met the club for the first time that there was interest in him. Today, I was focused on the game,” Maresca said, via .
Conor Gallagher sale could fund new striker
Gallagher, who is believed to have a £50m valuation, was never really part of Maresca’s thinking hence why Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall came in to replace him.
His expected sale could now fund a move for a new striker, which is one of the weakest areas of the pitch.
Napoli’s Victor Osimhen has been mooted as a potential target, though, he’s expected to cost a substantial wedge.
