England international set to leave on free transfer next year with Tottenham keeping close tabs
- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
Tottenham Hotspur have changed their recruitment stratergy under Ange Postecoglou.
The North Londoners have placed great emphasis on recruiting promising young talent and that was evident in the summer.
Tottenham signed four teenagers with Dominic Solanke the only signing who’s in his 20s, so clearly Postecoglou is eager to reduce the average age of the squad following Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte’s tenures at the club.
That strategy is expected to continue over the next couple of windows and now TBR Football can reveal Spurs are keeping close tabs on an up and coming England international on the continent.

Angel Gomes hints at Manchester United return one day
Man United are one of the interested parties keen on bringing Gomes back to the Premier League and in a recent interview with , the Lille midfielder admitted it’d be difficult to say no to his former club.
“As amazing as it would be, after finding happiness abroad I know [playing in the Premier League] is not the be-all and end-all,” Gomes said.
When asked if he’d consider a return to United, he said: “There’ll always be that sentimental soft spot, so of course it’d be difficult to say no.”
