‘Wonderful’: BBC pundit blown away by £30m Everton ace in ‘top form’

Everton and England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has been praised by Chris Waddle after he helped the Three Lions beat Germany at 🐬Euro 2020.

The Toffees stopper has had his fair s🐓hare of critics over the years but Gareth Southgate has always stuck by him.

Pickford made the England starting XI for Tuesday’s last-16 e﷽ncounter with Joachim Low’s side at Wembley.

After denying Croatia, Scotland and Czech Republic, the 🦹27-year-old once again stood firm.

Pickford made a key save from Timo Werner, snuffing out Germany’s only real opening💞 of the first half.

An🌞d in the second half, he did well to tip Kai Havertz’s shot🌊 over.

At the other end, goals from Raheem Sterling and Harry Kꦐane ensured England𓆏’s passage to the quarter-finals.

Sterling opened the scoring on 75 minuဣtes, steering in Luke Shaw’s cross.

And Kane headed home from Ja🌟ck Grealish’s deliver 86 minutes in to seal a first major tournament win over Germany since 1ꦆ966.

However, 🐼Englanꦿd icon Waddle was eager to praise the Three Lions’ keeper too.

“Pickford has had a wonderful tou🔥rnament,” Waddle tolꦓd BBC Sport ().

“When he has been called upon he has made every decision r🀅ight.

“It is good when your keeper is on top form. It😼 really helps.”
