Emerson Palmieri says West Ham have a player who’s even more skilful than Lucas Paqueta in training
Things aren’t going too well for West Ham right now, but the Hammers still have a brilliant squad.
Indeed, while West Ham sit 14th in the Premier League after a slow start to the season, it may not take long for things to change.
Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
13 | 11 | 4 | 3 | 4 | 12 | 12 | 0 | 15 | |
14 | 11 | 3 | 3 | 5 | 13 | 19 | -6 | 12 | |
15 | 11 | 2 | 4 | 5 | 14 | 21 | -7 | 10 |
The Hammers’ squad is packed full of talented players from Jarrod Bowen to Crysencio Summerville, and they should be able to turn things around.
Julen Lopetegui is under pressure, but his players should be able to help him change his fortunes.
West Ham have a number of players who are incredibly skilful, and according to Emerson Palmieri, speaking on the Iron Cast Podcast, Mohammed Kudus is actually West Ham’s trickiest player in training.

Mohammed Kudus is tricky in training
Emerson named Kudus ahead of Lucas Paqueta as the most skilful player in West Ham training.
Kudus is a remarkable player, and this isn’t the first time we’ve heard this sort of thing.
Last year, James Ward-Prowse stated that Kudus is brilliant in training too.
“Like who’s the one on the training pitch like that loves a trick most?” Emerson was asked.
“Kudus. Yeah, I can say Kudus. Yeah, Lucas as well, but I think Kudus, yeah. He loves to do the new things. And you can see like, because there’s one thing you do in the training, another thing you do in the games,” Emerson said.
Mohammed Kudus stats this season
Kudus is seemingly one of the best players in West Ham training, but, sadly, that isn’t necessarily translating into performances on the pitch, at least not this season.
Kudus earned tons of plaudits during his debut season at West Ham, but his output has significantly fallen off this campaign.

Of course, this may not be all Kudus’ fault.
Lopetegui’s style of play is stifling West Ham’s attacking creativity, and that leaves Kudus with fewer chances to go and make something happen in the final third, whether that’s scoring a goal or creating a chance for one of his teammates.
West Ham need to step things up a tad in the coming weeks as they look to move up the table, and If Kudus can rediscover his best form at the London Stadium, that would be a huge help.
