‘Embarassing deal’: Some WHUFC fans fume as Fabrizio Romano tweets transfer update on attacker
West Ham United are inching closer to the sale of Brazilian attacker Felipe Anderson to Lazio.
early this morning that the Irons are in talks with Serie A side Lazio over the signing of Anderson.

As per Romano, the deal will likely see the winger leave West Ham on a free transfer. However, the Hammers will retain a future sell-on percentage should Anderson leave Lazio for a fee a second time.
The Brazillian international had a mixed spell during his time in east London. Although Anderson was impressive in his first season with the club, his form curtailed massively since that opening year.

Indeed, Anderson spent last campaign with Portuguese giants FC Porto. However, that loan move was unsuccessful as the attacker was limited to just 11 appearances in all competitions.
The forward was once West Ham’s club-record signing. Moreover, on social media, some supporters were fuming that the board were unable to negotiate any sort of fee for Anderson.
Here’s what some West Ham fans had to say on Twitter about Anderson leaving the club for free this window…

The classic buy a player for 40 million, let him go back to the same club for free 3 years later. My club is chaos and I love it ⚒️⚒️

Very good player. Unfortunately, too creative to be handled by Moyes? 🤷🏻♂️
