‘Edwards masterclass yet again’: Some Liverpool fans think club has pulled off transfer masterstroke
A number of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to discuss the Reds’ decision to sell Rhian Brewster.
The 20-year-old is one of the most highly rated players who have come through the Reds academy in recent years, and was thoroughly impressive on loan at Swansea last season.
In 20 regular-season appearances, Brewster weighed in with 10 goals, helping the Swans sneak into the playoffs ahead of Nottingham Forest on the last day of the campaign.

He also netted in their semi-final second leg against Brentford to give his loan side a fighting chance, though in the end the Bees held on for a 3-2 aggregate win.
Liverpool have now decided to cash in on Brewster, who has joined fellow Premier League side Sheffield United for a reported £23.5million.
However, according to , the deal for the England Under-21 forward includes a buy-back option for three years, with the Anfield side also getting 15 percent of any sell-on fee.
So while Brewster is now off the Liverpool books, the buy-back option does enable the Reds to buy him back in the coming years if he really impresses at Bramall Lane.
Here is what some Liverpool fans have been saying about the deal on social media:
Buyback clause….key to this deal. just sent Brewster out for a three year loan in the Prem. They can bring him back any time within three years. Brilliant business.

I’m sad to see Brewster go, but for all the extras we attached to the transfer like the sell-on clause and the buyback clause, I’m feeling good about the whole deal.

I’m not upset about Brewster. I have high hopes he’ll bang for SHU & with that buyback, I’m optimistic he’ll be our Firmino heir within 3 yrs time. It’s Shaqiri who’s quality, who’ll never come back I’m sad about. Whilst Wilson & Origi still here.

23.5m for Brewster is mad business, and we still have a buyback clause in it as well, Edwards masterclass yet again

Brewster to Sheffield is such a good deal for both ends. For a decent price, Sheffield gets a promising Premier League proven youngster, with a lot of potential, and Liverpool earn 23,5 million pounds, + they have a buyback clause. Excellent business by both clubs. 👏

Oh wait we got a buyback clause on Brewster? It’s calm then

I don’t get why people are upset Brewster is leaving. Origi while limited in his own way is still twice the player he is. Also we’ve a buyback clause so it’s pretty much a guaranteed win/win. I’ll be more upset when Shaqiri leaves.
