Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter in anger after hearing that Andre Onana is in talks to join Lyon, according to .

What’s the story?

However, Onana can return to training on September 3rd after the Court of Arbitration for Sport reduced his ban from 12 months to nine.

Furthermore, the Ajax glovesman only has one year left on his contract in Amsterdam.

As a result, the Dutch giants are willing to let him leave for just £7m.

That seems too good to be true for Arsenal, but it sounds as if their dawdling has encouraged Lyon to get involved in the pursuit.

The Ligue 1 outfit – who employ for Arsenal in Houssem Aouar – are making good progress with Onana, according to .

In our view, the Gunners have a greater pull than Lyon.

However, one thing that could happen is Arsenal offer to pull out of the race for Onana, so long as Lyon give them first priority on Aouar.

are also said to be hunting to sign Aouar, so there’s certainly incentive for Arsenal to do such a thing.

It must be said that this is merely our suggestion, rather than any fact.

Aouar is up for sale, as Lyon desperately need cash.

In that respect, this would be a wise thing for Edu to offer, in order to put Arsenal in the driving seat for the Frenchman’s signature.

For now, let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about ‘s news…
