Eddie Howe told he has a 16-year-old talent at Newcastle being compared to Allan Saint-Maximin

Eddie Howe has now been told he has a 16-year-old talent at Newcastle who plays just like Allan Saint-Maximin.

Aside from the emergence of Lewis Miley and Elliot Anderson, Newcastle fans would surely like to see more homegrown talent break into the first-team amid the arrivals of expensive names like Bruno Guimaraes.

It creates a unique bond between the squad and supporters, one that has rarely been seen since Sean and Matty Longstaff broke in under Steve Bruce.

Now, however, Eddie Howe could develop his very own Allan Saint-Maximin at Newcastle

Well – according to – Trevan Sanusi is making a name for himself at Newcastle.

It is said that the 16-year-old’s dribbling skills and unpredictability make him a very similar player to Saint-Maximin, who became a firm fan favourite during his time at St James’ Park thanks to these traits.

Sanusi – who plays for the England U17 side – predominantly appears on the left flank, but has actually played on the right and also in the centre for Newcastle’s U18s this season.

The teenager has scored goals and provided three assists in 22 appearances so far this term.

Interestingly, Sanusi has already impressed Howe in training at Newcastle – according to the .

That same outlet mentions that Birmingham were devastated when Newcastle pinched the attacker from them, with those in the Midlands under the impression he could develop into another Jude Bellingham.

The Chronicle add that club insiders at Newcastle believe Sanusi could even make his senior debut for the Magpies before the 2023/24 campaign ends.

Trevan Sanusi is in the ideal environment

For an exciting winger like Sanusi, who boasts tricks and flicks in abundance, end product can become an issue in later years.

Wilfried Zaha is a good example of one electric winger who often struggled to turn his talent into goals and assists until the latter stages of his career.

Of course, we’re not going to focus too much on a 16-year-old’s return of goal involvements, but three goals and three assists in 22 games this season suggests Sanusi could go down the same path if he doesn’t focus on end product.

Having said that, Newcastle is the perfect environment for him to learn in that sense, as Howe has since replaced Saint-Maximin with two incredibly efficient, direct wingers in Anthony Gordon and Harvey Barnes.

The English duo rarely perform any fancy skills and unnecessary flicks, but are utterly ruthless at making runs in behind and finishing off chances, which is exactly what Sanusi needs to do to make it at Newcastle.
