Eddie Howe in talks over Newcastle job
Newcastle have opened talks with Eddie Howe over the manager role.
The ex-Bournemouth manager has been out of work since he parted way with the Cherries in August 2020.
He didn’t have the end he’d have wanted with Bournemouth as they were relegated in the 2019/20 season.
However, his time at the Vitality was mightily impressive.
Howe, across two spells at the club, earned promotions from League 2, League 1 and the Championship.
The 43-year-old is one of very few managers who has worked his way through the English football leagues.
Now, though, after a year out of the game he’s being linked with a move to St. James’ Park.
have reported that Howe is in talks with the Northeast club over replacing Steve Bruce.
The attacking football that Howe was famed for at Bournemouth would be a welcome sight for the Magpies.
Newcastle have opened talks with Eddie Howe over manager role

Newcastle are winless in the Premier League after eight games this season and a change of impetus could be what’s needed.
That’s where Howe could come in.
He’s a project manager who has excelled at every level he’s managed at so far.
Giving him a big Premier League job with a budget and the chance to build would suit him down to the ground.
Having managed a low-budget top flight side, this feels like the next step for the still extremely young manager.
At 43, if Howe does get the job then he will make mistakes.
However, with a big budget and supportive backroom staff, he could turn this Newcastle team around.
It’s also important to mention Howe’s time working with Matt Ritchie, Ryan Fraser and Callum Wilson.
That trio all left Bournemouth for the Geordies and could help make Howe’s transition seamless should he get the job.
