Eddie Howe has been really impressed with 22-year-old Newcastle United man, he could now start in Premier League opener
Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe has been left impressed with new signing Sven Botman and .
The 22-year-old centre-back signed for the club earlier this summer after making the switch from French outfit LOSC Lille.
The Magpies saw off competition from AC Milan to land the Holland international and he could become a key player for Howe’s men this season.
Howe has been blown away by his new signing during pre-season and now Botman could be set to start against Nottingham Forest tomorrow.

.
“I think he’s ready to play. I’ve seen him during pre-season and what a talent he is,” he said.
“I think he’s going to be everything we hoped he would be. He’s technically very good, very strong and very good defensively.”

Howe impressed with Botman
Botman won the Ligue 1 title with Lille just two seasons ago and has impressed during his time in France.
At just 22, the Dutchman is seen as one of the best young centre-backs in Europe at the moment and it was a massive coup for Newcastle to land him this summer.
The former Lille man will seemingly be handed his Premier League debut tomorrow and it will be interesting to see who Howe picks to play alongside him.
The Magpies have Fabian Schar, Jamaal Lascelles and Dan Burn has options to play with Botman.
Burn was only signed back in January and is the most likely to play alongside Botman as the pair played together during pre-season.
But with both players being left-footed centre-backs, it will be interesting to see who takes the left-hand side in Howe’s back four.
The Magpies play host to Premier League new-boys Nottingham Forest tomorrow and Howe will be hoping his side start stronger than they did last under Steve Bruce.
