‘Easy to do’: Journalist says Tottenham could easily sign £32m player now
Tottenham Hotspur have signed Micky Van de Ven this summer, but there’s still a feeling that they could do with one more centre-half.
The north London club are still lacking any real quality depth at centre-back, and with the likes of Japhet Tanganga, Davinson Sanchez and Joe Rodon seemingly set to leave in the coming weeks, Tottenham may have to dip back into the market.
Of course, there have been plenty of links to defenders with the likes of Edmond Tapsoba and Tosin Adarabioyo constantly linked.
One other name that seemingly won’t go away is Clement Lenglet, and according to Mike McGrath, speaking on , it would be quite easy for Spurs to go and sign Lenglet this summer.

Easy to do
McGrath shared what he knows about the defender.
“From your position Mike, do you have any knowledge on what Spurs could do with that additional defender. Who do you think we could be looking at bringing in between now and the end of the window.
“Lenglet would obviously be easy to do as they’ve been there before to do that,” McGrath said.

Keep him in mind
Lenglet shouldn’t be Tottenham’s first-choice defensive option between now and the end of the window, but they would be wise to keep him in mind as deadline day approaches.
In an ideal world, someone with a bit more about them would join Tottenham, but if the worst comes to the worst, bringing in a defender who knows the squad well and has plenty of international and Champions League experience wouldn’t be the worst option.
Spurs need to scour the market for better options, but if it comes to it, they could do a lot worse than signing someone like Lenglet.
