‘Easily’: Jurgen Klopp claims Liverpool’s £20m man is going to do something no Reds player has for 11 years

Jurgen Klopp that Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson is on track to make 500 appearances for the Reds.
Landmark night for Henderson
Henderson donned the Liverpool shirt in a competitive fixture for the 400th time last night, in a 5-1 victory over Porto in the Champions League.
The midfielder, who signed for £20 million back in 2011 (), has developed into a hugely influential figure for Klopp’s side.
And the Liverpool boss certainly seems to have no intention of taking Henderson out of his regular starting team any time soon.
“If he stays fit he will easily make 500 appearances so we hope he keeps going,” Klopp said.

First since Gerrard…
If Henderson does make 500 appearances for Liverpool he will be the first player since Steven Gerrard to achieve the feat.
Gerrard reached the landmark 11 years ago, in a game which finished as a 0-0 draw against Blackburn.
Henderson is now the 27th most capped Liverpool player of all time, and it seems likely that he will move up that list in the coming years.
Henderson is set to make his 401st Liverpool appearance at the weekend, when they take on Manchester City.
