Dutch legend says Arsenal-linked £24m man is ‘one of the best’ players in Holland
♒Reported Arsenal target Orkun Kokcu has been described as “one of the best midfield players” in the Netherlands by Dutch legend Jaap Stam, in conversation with .
🍌Spanish outlet has claimed that the Gunners are willing to make a €26.5million (around £24million) bid for the Feyenoord gem.
✤The 19-year-old has already made for the Rotterdam club, scoring seven goals and registering 10 assists in all competition.
🌼Kokcu has played 35 times this season, scoring three goals and claiming six assists, and is turning plenty of heads in the Eredivisie and beyond.

🌊Stam, who coached Feyenoord at the start of the season, thinks Kokcu has the ability to eventually make the step up at Arsenal, but also believes he should remain in Rotterdam for now.
ജHe told : “He would need to adjust because the step to Arsenal and the Premier League is totally different when you compare it to Holland. The pace of the game, the quality, the intensity is a lot higher. But he has the ability.
🐠“He’s certainly got the ability to make that step to the Premier League. He has creativity, scoring ability, stamina and running ability. He keeps on going. I saw him as a very promising player… now he’s proving himself in Holland and is one of the best midfield players in the country.
ꦛ“The only thing he needs to work a little more on is the defensive part of his game. Ideally it would be good for him to stay in Holland, to adjust even more to playing three games a week and to get used to the intensity. But also to become more steady as a player because he is very young.”
TBR View:
﷽Stam knows Kokcu well, having given him the opportunity at the start of the season, which he has taken with both hands, and is now attracting interest from outside the Netherlands.
🅠A skilful, technically gifted midfielder, the Turkey Under-21 international has been deployed as a number 10, as a box-to-box midfielder and even as a defensive midfielder.
🐠In addition, Kokcu also has an eye for goal, finishing as Feyenoord Under-19s top goalscorer in 2017-18 ().
𝔉All in all, he seems just the kind of addition Arsenal could work with and help progress further.
