‘Don’t rate him’… Gabriel Agbonlahor says 26-year-old Tottenham player is League Two level right now
Gabriel Agbonlahor has slammed Tottenham Hotspur striker Richarlison and claims he’d be ‘playing in League Two if he wasn’t Brazilian’.
Richarlison has enjoyed a decent run of form for Spurs of late, having netted five goals in his last five Premier League appearances.
It comes after a difficult start to life under Ange Postecoglou where the Brazilian ultimately lost his place in the side to Heung-Min Son.
But the 26-year-old has excelled since returning from a groin injury, with Son moving out to the left-hand side.

The former Everton striker didn’t enjoy his best evening on Friday though as Tottenham beat Burnley 1-0 in the FA Cup.
Richarlison was off the pace and wasted a couple of decent opportunities in the game.
And despite his promising run of form recently, it would appear that isn’t enough to silence one of his critics, Gabriel Agbonlahor.
Agbonlahor says Richarlison is ‘League Two’ level
Speaking to , Agbonlahor slammed Richarlison after his display against Burnley on Friday evening.
“I was watching the game and thinking ‘I’m wasting my evening, I could be watching a new series on Netflix’ 60 minutes in, I turned it off, it was dreadful,” the former Aston Villa skipper said.
“Richarlison, he can’t control the ball, he’s not strong enough to hold the ball up, he’s not good with link-up play, he can’t run in behind because he’s not quick enough, he can’t finish.
“Honestly, he’d be playing in League Two if he wasn’t Brazilian, I don’t rate him one bit.”
He added: “Timo Werner is going to be a better option than Richarlison and it’s only a six-month loan, I don’t blame Ange.”

This feels incredibly harsh from Agbonlahor when you consider Richarlison’s recent upturn in form.
To label the Spurs star a League Two-level player is also a bit of a stretch.
Richarlison excelled during his time at Goodison Park and there was a reason Spurs paid to sign him.
Things haven’t exactly gone according to plan at Spurs as he managed just two Premier League goals last season.
But his recent form should offer Spurs some encouragement as he seems to be finding his feet under Ange Postecoglou.
